How to Share Google Drive Files (Step-by-Step)

Learn every way to share files — single files, folders, bulk links, QR codes, and short URLs.

1

Get your Google Drive file URL

Open the file in Google Drive. Right-click it and choose Get link. Make sure access is set to at least Anyone with the link — Viewer so GDShine can read it.

Copy the full URL — something like:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XYZ.../view?usp=sharing
2

Paste into GDShine

Go to /share. Paste your URL into the textarea. You can paste multiple URLs — one per line — to share several files at once.

Optional: give your share a name for easier tracking later.

3

Share folders too

GDShine supports folder URLs, not just individual files. Paste a folder URL and the system automatically creates encrypted links for every file inside.

Each file inside gets its own unique share link — perfect for distributing assets, courses, or media collections.

4

Use the QR code

Every share link comes with a QR code. Click the QR icon next to your link to show it full-screen. Scan with any phone camera to open the link instantly.

Great for handouts, presentations, or physical products where typing a URL is impractical.

5

Short URLs for social media

GDShine also generates a clean short URL (like gdshine.com/s/x7Kp2). Use this for:

  • Tweets where character count matters
  • Business cards and flyers
  • Anywhere a long URL looks ugly

Short URLs redirect to the encrypted share link, so you still get all the tracking and protection.

6

Revoke access anytime

Changed your mind? Go to My Files. Find the file and click Revoke. The share link immediately stops working.

The file stays in your Google Drive. Only the public link dies.

You're done!
